It's fun to look at Presidents and Celebrities to figure out what makes them tick.
Luckily, we have both in Barry Obama, as he is both a media PR made celebrity and now also the President for now.
Regardless, of you approval or severe disapproval of this gentleman that has re-made himself into Leader of the Free World, with a little help from his friends - he is the President and it's only fair to question his personal psychology and mental profile.
One very wise clinical psychologist does not believe that Barack Obama takes drugs to stay at the top of his game.
In fact she does not believe he is on Prozac, Ritalin, or even taking lithium, instead she believes that there might be more to his psychological profile.
Others, tend to agree and say; "Yes, we see your points, and agree that we do not know for sure and know that we can't know, but Barack Obama may be taking some prescribed drug, as this has been our my observation.
" While still others say that is complete nonsense and sensationalism.
Ah, such is the controversial paradigm that follows celebs.
Indeed, there also is the "hypomanic hypothesis" that could be attributed to his behavior, where you never actually see the "depression" rather the mild depression states are there, just far and few between.
But if he was prescribed such a drug, it would all but remove the mild depression state between hyper energetic periods.
Only someone close to him would know, but they aren't talking.
Obviously, he is an anomaly of normality.
He has an interesting "gene set" so from a Nature/Nurture standpoint it makes for a much harder read.
Barack Obama seems to share genes with the Cheney Family on the white side of the family, but with the gene set of African Ancestry and Arab, makes for an interesting person.
An anomaly he is, compounded with the mystic of the mass media PR building of a 10-foot tall storybook figure.
Then I have thoughts on the "imposter phenomenon" as he also fits the profile, and even a super strong ego would be difficult to handle the job he now holds.
Indeed, the "Peter Principle" bothers some psychologies and business type leaders, but also someone with his experience believing that they are the part they've been thrust into playing can make a go of it.
Personally, I really worry about people with "unearned ego" and have a problem with trusting them making decisions over their heads using what they think is intuition.
Also, studying the king makers behind him, well what about their psychology? Who are they and how do they think? From a psychology standpoint in studying all this, well, personally, I am deeply troubled.
Perhaps, because I've been in fairly tough stress decision places and relied on others reluctantly, learned lessons and this is why I am thinking here.
Well, amongst other things.
That's all for now, but perhaps you might look into him as a case study for your psychology class and see what kinds of interesting and perhaps worrisome things you come up with?
