- Fort Gordon, Georgia is the home of the Army Signals Regiment. It takes in both Army and Navy signals students as well as an estimated 54,000 reserve candidates. Incoming soldiers will be distributed to a number of signals training battalions.
- Current training for signals officers are carried out by a number of units at Ft. Gordon. They include but are not limited to the 15th Regimental Signal Brigade and the 447th and 551st Signal Battalions. Training is not only concerned with signal and ordinance skills, but in crafting well-rounded soldiers who are tactically, physically and psychologically formidable warriors.
- While Gordon is the primary location for Army signals training, it also provides instruction for students coming from all other US services and federal agencies. The community at Ft. Gordon is at the forefront of educational development in terms of courses and written materials. These advances are then sent throughout the country and abroad to posts and training centers around the globe.
