Eastern European Roasted Salmon Recipe



This roasted salmon recipes combines all the flavors Eastern Europeans love -- spicy mustard, honey, parsley and dill. I came up with this recipe when I was faced with a beautiful side of salmon and a desire to try something new. The result is fast and delicious. You can vary the herbs to your liking.

Easy Polish Foil-Baked Salmon Recipe - Caly Losos Pieczony

Ingredients
  • 1 (1 1/2-pound) side of salmon, rinsed and patted dry
  • Salt and cracked black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Polish or other spicy mustard
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 cup panko crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon hot or sweet Hungarian paprika
  • 1/4 cup olive oil or enough to moisten the panko crumbs

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 15 minutes


  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings Roasted Salmon


Preparation
  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil. Place salmon, skin side down, on the sheet pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  2. In a small bowl, combine honey, mustard and dill. Spread evenly over salmon.

  3. In a medium bowl, combine panko crumbs, parsley and paprika until well blended. Stir in oil and moisten completely. Add a light sprinkle of salt and pepper and mix again. Distribute over salmon, pressing down lightly so crumbs will adhere.



  1. Roast salmon for 10-14 minutes. Begin checking at 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let rest 5 minutes before slicing into generous portions.
