- 1). Enter "*#06#" on your Motorola i425's dial pad. Press the "Send" button. Write down the 15-digit IMEI number that is displayed.
- 2). Contact your mobile phone provider. Verify your account information, including your account number, mobile phone number and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
- 3). Ask for an unlock code. Provide your phone's IMEI number.
- 4). Turn off your mobile phone. Remove the protective cover on the back of the Motorola i425. Take out the battery and SIM card, which is in the lower right corner.
- 5). Replace the SIM card with one from your new provider. Replace the battery and protective cover. Turn on your phone.
- 6). Enter the unlock code, when prompted. Your phone reboots and displays the new wireless network.
