    Qualifications

    • Candidates should have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Institutions may also require you to submit a standardized test score, such as the GRE or GMAT.

    Duration

    • MHA programs typically consist of 39 to 44 credits and take an average of two full years to complete for full-time students.

    The Curriculum

    • Students are required to complete a number of required and elective courses, including an introduction to health care, health care economics and health law. Additional requirements may include a research seminar, internship or practicum.

    Prerequisites

    • Although you are not required to have a bachelor's degree in the health field, many graduate schools require courses in accounting and statistics.
