- 1). Choose a callus shaver that suits your needs. For example, if you tend to have large callus on the bottoms of your feet, choose a full sized callus scraper. If you are prone to calluses and corns on your toes or sides of your feet, select a small, compact scraper.
- 2). Make sure that the callus scraper you select has removable blades and that replacement blades are readily available. If you use your callus scraper daily, you will probably replace the blades every 3 to 5 weeks.
- 3). Look for a scraper that catches the trimmed skin. Once you finish using the scraper, you should be able to open the catcher and tap the contents into the trash bin.
- 4). Look for other features, such as the ability to safely store replacement blades in the hands, comfortable handle design and size.
