Natural Anti Inflammatories - Ways You Can Reduce Inflammation Without Drugs

Natural Anti Inflammatories are any foods or supplements that can ease inflammation without the use of prescription or non prescription drugs.
If you are like me, I am allergic to most drugs and just don't like to take them.
I would much rather take something that is natural and works.
First, what exactly causes inflammation? Basically, when your body is subject to threatening elements, it counters these attacks with a defense mechanism of inflammation.
Interestingly, this inflammation is actually at our cellular level, meaning our entire bodies can be "inflamed".
Chronic inflammation can be dangerous as our systems are always in a state of stress, and stress can wear us down.
Some examples of inflammation that can be chronic include: * muscle, joint and bone - causing body pain * respiratory inflammation- causes allergies and breathing difficulty * digestive tract - causes ulcers and IBS * whole body inflammation- causes fatigue So, what foods might we take that can help add natural anti inflammatories to improve our health? Here are a few: Green tea, kelp, blueberry, papaya, broccoli, sweet potato, virgin olive oil, shiitake mushroom, turmeric, salmon.
There also are natural anti oxidants called "betalains" that can help the body to detoxify itself and reduce inflammation.
Betalains are found only in a few plants such as beets, Nopal cactus, Swiss chard and a few weeds and fungi.
Interestingly these plants produce betalains to protect themselves from their harsh environments, so the harsher the location of the plant the more betalain that is produced.
Nature sure seems to understand all this a lot better than we do, don't you think? Whether you are in need of a natural way to combat aches and pains caused by chronic inflammation or you just want to improve your health, adding some natural anti inflammatories to your diet can be a help.
