- 1). Locate the most level ground in your lawn to erect your shed. Be sure the level ground is large enough for the dimensions of your shed, and it is free of low-hanging tree branches and ground debris.
- 2). Place the floor of the shed onto the level ground, making sure the front portion is facing front. If your shed kit comes with anchors, place them in the specified slots, and tap them into the ground with a rubber mallet.
- 3). Connect one side panel to the floor by tapping the construction pegs into the specified slots with a wooden mallet. Secure the wall with the screws provided in the construction kit. Have someone support this wall while the other walls are attached.
- 4). Attach the back wall to the floor panel by tapping it into place with a rubber mallet. Secure it to the floor panel and the side wall using the screws provided.
- 5). Attach the next wall to the floor by tapping it into place, and secure it to the back wall and the floor using the screws provided.
- 6). Attach the right and left sections of the front wall to the floor panel and the corresponding wall panels. Secure them with the screws provided in the construction kit.
- 7). Attach the roofing or roof gables to the front and back of the shed by tapping the installation notches into place with a rubber mallet. Stand on a step ladder to easily access the screw holes, and screw them in to secure the roof.
- 8). Attach the hinges provided in the construction kit to the left or right wall piece where the hinge holes are made. Connect the door to the hinges, and secure the connection. Lubricate the hinges, if necessary, with a penetrating oil.
- 9). Check the security of all your wall and roofing connections before storing items in your new shed. Be sure to tighten screws, so they support the weight of the walls.
