Microwave Oven Cleaning Tips from Cleaner London

Microwave ovens have become irreplaceable parts of our everyday lives. We use them for heating food and drinks, and for cooking. This means that microwaves should also be cleaned regularly. How to do that?

Most people use degreasing oven cleaning detergents to clean their microwaves. These products work quite well on cooked-on food stains and dirt, but they cause several health problems, such as skin irritations, allergies and others. You can imagine what might happen if a drop of these detergents accidentally falls in your food or coffee, you might poison yourself. That is why Cleaner London advises to keep these products away from your microwave oven and all the other appliances that are connected somehow with cooking or storing food.

Here are a few recipes for home-made cleaning solutions, prepared entirely of natural products, which you can use for microwave oven cleaning:

The first recipe from cleaner London is very easy €" cut a lemon in slices in a bowl and press it with something to loosen its juice. Fill in the bowl with water and put it in the microwave oven. Set the timer on enough minutes to make the water start boiling and emitting steam. It is the steam that will loosen the cooked-on food stains and dirt, and will help you clean the appliance. Once the lemon water does its magic and the stains are loose, wipe with a damp cloth or sponge to remove them, and repeat with a clean cloth afterwards to dry the microwave.

Prepare a paste of half cup bicarbonate of soda, four drops of lemon essential oil, four drops of thyme essential oil and a tablespoon of white distilled vinegar. Remove the glass turntable of the microwave, and spread the paste evenly onto the inside of the appliance. Leave it for a few minutes and wipe with a damp cloth. You have to leave the microwave to dry naturally, afterwards, with the door open. Before you put the turntable back, wash it with warm water and dish-washing soap.

The last microwave oven cleaning technique that the deep cleaning services providers recommend is a little more time-consuming and requires more efforts than the previous two. Put a tablespoon of baking soda on a dampen with vinegar cloth or sponge and rub the food stains and dirt in the microwave with it. Once you remove them, wipe with a clean cloth and warm water.

That's it, use whichever of the above methods to maintain your microwave oven in good condition.
