Forget the Bloody Mary and start juicing those carrots, because Super Bowl XLIX is the perfect excuse to mix up this unique cocktail from Fox Restaurant Concepts' Master Mixologist, Mat Snapp.
Everything that we love about the Bloody Mary is in this drink: a savory base, a spicy accent, and a touch of alcohol. The Carrots, Mary, Carrots simply brings in a twist on each of those aspects and it is a refreshing change.
Once you have the ingredients, the drink is easy to mix up and, let's be honest, carrots are fun to watch go through the grind of the juicer. For the spicy elements, Cholula's always been my preference in drinks over Tabasco and you can find them right next to each other at most markets. Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur may be harder to find, depending on where you live, though if you love all things spicy, this is a spirit you'll want to check out anyway, so the hunt is worth it.
Snapp created another cocktail for the Super Bowl: Cinnamon Apple Shandy.
