This was a commissioned painting by the church. - The Prophet Joseph Smith - by Alvin Gittins - also a commissioned painting by the church.
This painting was painted to help give an idea of what Joseph Smith might have looked like.
It was based on the descriptions of those who knew the Prophet best. - Christ and the Children - by Frances Hook - This simple piece of LDS artwork is a painting of the Savior with several children showing his loving kindness that he has for the children of the world.
