- 1). Look through your trust documents. When the trust was established, the attorney would have filed for the TIN with the IRS. There should be a notice stating your trust name, address and tax identification number.
- 2). Call your bank where your primary trust accounts are held if you cannot find it in your trust documents. In order to open the account, you would have provided the bank with the TIN and it would be on record.
- 3). Call the IRS, the federal entity that issued the number, at 800-829-4933. Only a trustee or designated representative can obtain this information and only after the IRS confirms the identity of the person calling.
