- 1). Mix two tablespoons of dishwashing liquid in a bucket with two gallons of warm water. Pour the solution over the surface of the pavers and scrub with a stiff bristled nylon brush, concentrating on greasy or oily areas. Rinse clean with a garden hose. Allow the pavers to dry for two days before proceeding.
- 2). Mix concrete cleaner in a bucket at the dilution rate recommended by the manufacturer. Pour the solution over the pavers and scrub using a stainless steel wire brush to remove efflorescence.
- 3). Allow the solution to dry completely on the surface of the pavers; this can take a day or more. Sweep clean with a wide nylon bristled broom.
