Separated And Living Together - Reap The Benefits!

"The one thing that is inevitable is CHANGE" Never a true word was spoken, as in 2011 there is a change going on that has people talking.
I am referring to divorcing couples openly living together in the same house and finding unique ways to avoid conflict as would normally be the case in so many divorces.
This is not a concept reserved only for people struggling financially as those with advantage are choosing this modern-day arrangement also.
The credit crunch was not kind to the wealthy and if they were in the middle of divorce proceedings they may have done a fast review of their financial situation and realized they could be better off canceling the divorce.
Businesses everywhere closed their doors during the recession and continue to do so today.
If your accountant were to advise you that a divorce at this time could affect the stability of your business would you be so keen to ignore their wise counsel and take the risk? One thing the recession has done is show us how good the best of times have been as so many couples with a few more $$ in the bank than most are remaining in the family home with their SIGNIFICANT EX.
Divorcing couples in their fifties used to an affluent lifestyle have embraced the concept of being separated and living together so they can continue with the standard of living they are used too.
We have seen practicality as the main reason for lower-income couples separating and living together but I think we can now see couples of all ages and circumstance taking this modern and somewhat brave approach to divorce.
Living under the same roof with your ex has to be a challenge only the determined would sign on for as the dynamics of a relationship like this could be anything but predictable.
If a divorcing couple can change their focus from past events to the future and what could be gained they would be able to stop the bickering and get on with their new life as roommates.
They need to be able to change their MINDSET and work with the task at hand.
This is of course easier said than done as a marriage has a lot of emotion invested in it.
The future WAS your hopes and dreams as a couple and now it will be as single people.
If you are able to separate and still live together the benefits could be immense.
Time to sell you're home in a fluctuating house market.
· Pool resources.
· Pay off your debts.
· Raise your children together in the same house.
· Enjoy the lifestyle you are used to.
· Continue to run your business together.
· Save for the divorce itself.
Being separated and living together has so many advantages in a world filled with uncertainty.
There is no doubt it is a reflection of the times and proof that humans have the ability to ebb and flow when needed.
