Xbox Live Service Packages

• Xbox Live comes with the option of two service packages. Silver membership is free and lets all users access the Xbox Live Marketplace to purchase games or rent movies. Gold membership is $7.99 a month or $49.99 a year, as of 2010. With the Gold Package, you can play games online, stream NetFlix movies and gain access to exclusive content before Silver members.
