- 1). Brush your teeth twice daily. It is important not only to keep the bridge itself clean, but to keep the teeth around it clean as well. Brush around all sides of the bridge to remove any loose food particles that may have become attached to it.
- 2). Floss twice a day. It's not a bad idea to get into the habit of flossing and brushing at the same time. Floss first and then brush to make sure that any food particles make their way out of the mouth. Use a bridge floss threader to help clean around the bridge and under it.
- 3). Rinse with Listerine often. Listerine kills many germs that your toothbrush may miss and can get into areas that you may not otherwise be able to reach. Use the Listerine at least once a day.
- 4). Visit your dentist twice annually for a checkup and cleaning to ensure that your bridge is still in good shape and to help keep up your overall oral health.
