I have always admired Christian wedding. There is something magical charm attached with it. They bring out the happiness amidst serenity and calmness. I am not so very comfortable with weddings that are abounding in noise and panic and hullabaloo. I get tensed and feel that I won't be able to enjoy the whole celebration coolly. I also feel jealous to see other people how they comfortably get a sense of music and ecstatic mood by immersing themselves into the colorful and crowded arena.
For me an ideal wedding should be a silent affair. I don't mean that it should be drained out of energy but it is like the composed atmosphere which adds a different value altogether. As a matter of fact I haven't got any invitation of attending a church marriage yet but have come to know about them via the stories reported in Television, magazines and Christian newspaper. I have a colleague of mine who is yet to get married. Although I don't know when she decides doing that but whenever that happens my wish of seeing the Christian wedding in a church will be fulfilled. So I have always been pestering her to move ahead with the prospect but this friend takes it casually. I even insisted her that she can check matrimonial ads in Christian newspaper rather than looking for an eligible Christian groom anywhere else. There are chances of finding the right person in this way instead of searching the one who fits into all her expectation and requisite anywhere as the latter will take more time. She has given her consent to this proposal of mine. Keeping my fingers crossed till then and I hope it happens sooner than later!
It is also because of this colleague that every year I get to attend midnight mass in the church. It is not that the church won't allow me but I feel little jittery of going there alone as I'm not so equipped with the system. When the visit is accompanied with her and her family, I feel fine. As a matter of fact now I have gained that confidence that comes out from acclimatization and it is no big deal to answer any question. If not all I at least know few. May be because of all this my interest and admiration towards the Christian living, their customs and their marriage that I really enjoy being a part of that.
