Please note that if you haven't completed the game yet, or don't want to know the ending, stop reading now.
If you have, or simply can't wait, then carry on.
That being said, I thoroughly recommend that you go and complete the game yourselves, as it's a far better experience than reading it here! Resident Evil games are known for their gameplay, in-depth storylines and characters.
The Resident Evil 5 story has just as many plot-twists and cliff-hangers as the previous games in the series, and the RE5 ending does not disappoint.
Towards the end of the game, the world is looking a bleak and defeated place.
Albert Wesker now appears to be superhuman and unstoppable, and the increase of zombies and mutants is only piling on more misery, and to add to it all Jill Valentine has seemingly disappeared forever.
Then, all of a sudden, Chris receives a message from Jill explaining how Wesker's extraordinary abilities only come from a serum that he injects into himself regularly.
She tells Chris to inject Wesker with an extra-large amount of the serum, which will drastically reduce his powers.
After an intense battle, Wesker is injected and severely weakened, but just manages to escape.
Then, at the very end of the RE5 ending when you're riding in the helicopter, Wesker is forced into a pit of lava.
Unfortunately, he manages to reach into the controls and is trying to steer his enemies into the lava.
Chris then picks up a RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade) and fires it at his nemesis, thus killing him for good.
Jill and Chris are now reunited, and Jill is now totally free from any brainwashing and control before the RE5 ending credits are displayed.
