Most green salads have lettuce as the main ingredient.
However, many people don't know that even if they do not have a traditional garden, using the hydroponic method they can still grow their lettuce.
To grow lettuce using this method, you will be required to have the right hydroponic lettuce nutrients in place.
These are provided via the hydroponic medium used to supply the same nutrients that would come from soil.
Hydroponic nutrient solutions can be made at home or bought already mixed.
The latter is the best way to go.
What Hydroponic Lettuce Nutrient Solution Is Made Of Unlike in traditional gardening, with hydroponics you have to provide the plants with the needed nutrients yourself.
You have to ensure that you have the right hydroponic lettuce nutrients needed to ensure healthy growth.
Whatever hydroponic nutrient solutions selected should be mixed with water to get just the right balance.
You need to ensure that your solution has the right pH in order for the plants to grow well.
The hydroponic lettuce nutrient solution will be made of calcium nitrate and Epsom salt.
For each 5 gallons of water, you should have two teaspoons of the calcium nitrate and one teaspoon of the Epsom salts.
Other Conditions To Consider In order for your lettuce plants to thrive in the medium provided as well as to properly absorb the hydroponic lettuce nutrients, the temperature must be around 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
In order to get optimum results, you need to plan on watering them three times a day.
This is a must have in order to have your plants absorb and process the nutrients provided.
