Helping Arthritis With Omega 3 Fatty Acids And Omega 3 Fish Oil

Arthritis is a horrible condition that plagues many older adults in America and around the world today.
Let's face it, we aren't getting any younger and arthritis might hit any of us at any time.
It is a condition that does occasionally strike younger people as well.
There are medications out there that alleviate the painful symptoms of arthritis, but they can be expensive and have terribly unwanted side effects.
Now, though, there is hope, because more and more often, doctors are suggesting that their patients take omega 3 fatty acid or omega 3 fish oil supplements to alleviate the symptoms of this painful condition.
The reason that fatty acids or fish oil supplements work so well is because they have anti-inflammatory agents or properties that reduce the swelling that arthritis inflicts on infected joints.
The good news is that there are also other benefits of taking omega 3 fatty acid or fish oil supplements.
These are known to thin the blood, which reduce your chances of getting blood clots.
This is especially good news if you have hypertension or high blood pressure, or if you are on dialysis for kidney failure.
Blood clots are dangerous and you want to make sure you don't get them.
Now, how can you get the fatty acid or omega 3 fish oil supplements that you need? One way is through your diet.
There are few sources of fatty acids in whole foods, though, so if you go this route you should be very careful to make sure that you are getting the correct dosages and enough to make a difference and get the health benefits that you want.
Another option to get the omega 3 fatty acids that you need is simply to take supplements in the form of capsules.
These come in many different kinds and brands so you will need to do your research to make sure that you get the right one for you and one that is also safe.
They come in different doses and different kinds.
Some you have to take with food and some you have to take on empty stomach.
And some you have to take regularly and several times a day, while many others you take at fewer intervals.
Just be sure to consult with a doctor for advice to get the right amount and dosage for you.
There is no right or wrong answer here.
What you end up taking will depend on your particular physical needs and the schedule you keep.
