Hemorrhoids Home Remedy: Relieve and Prevent Hemorrhoids with Good Bowel Habits

Generally speaking, people don't really talk about bowel habits. After all, let's face it -- discussing bowel movements doesn't exactly make for the most pleasant of dinner conversations. Still, it is going to be to your benefit that you see this through because what you're about to learn about your bowel habits is absolutely essential if you want to stand a chance of relieving and preventing hemorrhoids entirely.

As you probably well know, your diet affects your bowels greatly. Due to this, it is important that you eat a balanced meal that is high on fiber and avoid problems such as constipation. Also, you'll want to make certain that you take in more than enough water, and avoid substances that risk dehydrating you and also leading to constipation in that way.

At the same time, you'll also definitely want to avoid diarrhea that could further inflame bouts of hemorrhoids.

However here and now we're not so concerned about your diet. With a balanced diet, you can achieve all that you want to achieve, and then some. But at the same time, it is vital that you start taking a look at some of your bowel habits themselves, because they can make all the difference when it comes to constipation and hemorrhoids.

One of the most important rules that you should always follow is this: Go to the restroom when you need to.

Mind you, this means that you should only go to the rest room when you feel like going -- so that you won't have to strain too much and by doing so risk hemorrhoids forming. By the same token though, it also means that you shouldn't wait too long before going to the restroom. By 'holding it in' you're going to be straining your muscled as well.

Basically, avoid straining completely, and just let things come naturally. Assuming you're used to straining while on the toilet, this may take some getting used to -- but it is worth your time and effort to do just that.

Another nasty habit that some people have is to sit on the toilet for long periods of time while they read the paper or something like that. If you're sitting on the toilet for a long time, it probably means that you weren't ready to go in the first place -- and so you've probably been straining unconciously while you were there.

Cut out your newspaper-reading habit if you can, and you'll find that it'll help you acquire good bowel habits faster.

Once you're done, be sure to wipe off using soft toilet tissue or even baby wipes. Don't use harsh or rough toilet paper, as it could harm your nether areas and end up even contributing to hemorrhoids.

Make these good bowel habits your own, and you'll have to worry a lot less about the issue of hemorrhoids!
