You now have to go through your credit report and identify inaccuracies.
Your next step is to write letters to the credit bureau disputing these inaccuracies.
If the lender cannot prove that the item belongs on our credit report, it will have to be removed.
This part of the process can take time if you have several items.
If you have a common name or family members with the same name, you may find several items that don't belong on your credit report.
There are companies that will do the leg work for you, for a fee of course.
