After many months of reviewing camera specifications, price and feel of a many digital SLR camera available on the market, I finally purchased one. This was a big purchase for me and one I wanted to make sure I got right.
I have owned a SLR camera before and a digital camera but not a digital SLR. My previous SLR was a Nikon camera and was one I loved using. My digital compact camera is a Panasonic Lumix, also a great camera for those situations when you just want to snap friends and family. But I wanted a camera I could travel with and capture those great moments, people and places.
I put all previous knowledge I had regarding Digital SLR camera aside and started my research from scratch. After reading several reviews, looking at comparison photos, comparing specifications and pricing I felt I was able to make an educated decision.
What I found was quite surprising as I have always been a great fan of Nikon cameras but from my research there was another winner in the digital SLR camera market. So much so I felt I had to purchase one and purchase one fast. I am now the proud owner of a Canon Digital SLR Rebel camera. The Particular model I purchased was a T2i but I must say I was impressed with all models.
The things that stood out for me were the clarity of the focus, giving you sharp picture quality. I also found the Canon Digital SLR Rebel cameras be the most user friendly cameras. They are lighter weight than some of the other camera brands which makes for easier travel. Value for money, which in these economic conditions is something we all are concerned about, the Canon Digital SLR Rebel cameras came out on top for me. Yes, there are cheaper Digital SRL cameras available but I found with other brands as the price dropped so did the features and quality of the camera.
For those that want a point and shot camera you have that, just leave the settings on auto. But if you are want to take control of your photography this is the camera for you. Even if you want to learn as you go things such as shutter speed, aperture, and Iso this also is the camera for you.
I love the fact that with this camera I can produce professional looking photographs with ease. So weather you're a serious photographer or not I can recommend the Canon Digital SLR Rebel camera to all. It is a purchase that you will never regret.
