- 1). Unplug all power and video cables from the Xbox 360 and remove the front faceplate from the system. Unclasp the plastic tabs on the console's outer shell and remove the outer case. Unscrew the Torx screws and lift open the metal cover. Unplug the SATA cable from the Xbox 360 to the Kreon DVD drive, then plug in your SATA cable from your computer to the Kreon drive. Turn on your computer.
- 2). Open a web browser and download the .BIN program JungleFlasher. As of September 2010, JungleFlasher is the most stable and updated .BIN Xbox 360 program available. It is also the only program capable of flashing a Kreon drive from within Windows (earlier programs required MS-DOS). Run JungleFlasher, then click "Flash Kreon DVD Drive" in the program's main menu. Select your Xbox 360, then click "OK" to start the .BIN firmware flashing process.
- 3). Wait for the flashing process to finish, then close the program and shut down the computer. Unplug the SATA cable from your computer to the Kreon drive, then reconnect the SATA cable from the Xbox 360 to the Kreon DVD drive. Close the metal cover on the console and rescrew the Torx screws. Replace the outer plastic case and return the front faceplate to its original position. Reconnect all power and video cables to the Xbox 360 before turning it on again.
