Smokers who finally decide to kick their bad habit and start over would find that the first couple of weeks after their last smoke, difficult and tormenting.
What they seldom realize is that by putting an end to their smoking habits, they are not only doing a favor to themselves, they are doing a favor to their lungs as well.
  Once you've put down your last cigarette and know that the pollutants from that poisonous stick have filled your lungs, you might be worried as to how to clean out your lungs.
Well, worry no more as there are a couple of things you could do.
The first thing to do would be to make sure that you completely kick away the cigarettes from your life and won't take another puff.
Once you get this done, only then do you focus on detoxifying your lungs.
  Start by changing your diet and adapting a healthier one.
With proper nutrition and a well balanced diet, you can naturally flush out the toxins from your lungs.
Be sure to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables as they are rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals which can give you a boost in detoxing.
Also, try avoiding fatty foods and deep fried foods that can clog up your insides in an unhealthy way   In addition to that, adapt a regular exercise regime and stick to it.
Regular exercise helps circulate the blood and works your muscles so that your body feels refreshed and stays healthy.
This can help clear out your lungs if you include an exercise which stretches the muscles all over the body so do something more than just jogging if possible.
Try yoga or Pilates for beginners or just hit the gym for a good workout.
