These includes: * Residential treatments * Outpatient treatments * Local support groups * Extended care centers * Recovery or sober houses There are new rehab centers which offer help as per the age and gender specific programs.

This increases the chances of early recovery from his/her addiction.
For this purpose, they are modifying traditional means of treatment with modern and scientific ways which can be a great help for the patient and his family.

But a person has to go for residential or impatient treatment when the drug addiction has taken total control of a person's life.
Residential treatment requires specialized help and are carried out by private institutions.
They study the patient's history thoroughly before initiating the rehabilitation process.
