- Use the batting practice option to perfect your timing when swinging the bat. Spending time practicing your batting skills is a great way to be prepared for big games when you need that timely hit. Choose any batter and take practice swings against live pitching, learning just when to initiate a swing and time it right for that perfect base hit.
- Occasionally, your player's powers will increase in certain areas of game play. Be prepared to take advantage of them when you see them. Power-up's can give little Jeter the edge when he needs it most. Batting power-ups include aluminum power, crazy bunt, screaming line drive and under grounder. Pitching power-ups include big freeze, crazyball, fireball and others. Taking advantage of these power-ups at the right time will help you score runs.
- By using a few simple codes, you can change the look of your players or even introduce a new player to the game. Pressing the keys Alt, 1, 2 and 3 when you first log on will create huge heads and feet on any batter you bring to the plate. This will bring a few laughs and may unnerve your opponent, giving you a winning edge. When entering the clubhouse, hold the Shift key and click on Mr. Clanky, the small robot on the shelf. If you hear a sound, you have unlocked Mr. Clanky, who will serve as your mascot on the bench in your next game.
- When you turn a double or triple play in the field, a power-up will appear as a reward when it is your team's turn at bat. Take advantage of this reward to create momentum for your offense. Use the easy-defense cheat when in the field when the ball is in play by clicking on first base to have your defense automatically field the ball and throw it to first for the out.
