    Sawmill Camping Resort

    • Sawmill Camping Resort is open year-round to gays and lesbians and is in Dade City, between Tampa and Orlando. The campground offers RV camping, tent camping and rental cabins. The resort has a natural setting, along the Withlacoochee River. You can take advantage of nearly 50 miles of trails along the river, as well as rental canoes and the campground's proximity to Disney World and other Orlando or Tampa attractions.

      Sawmill leans toward the party scene, with live bands, dances and theme weekends. To take advantage of the facilities of Sawmill, you need to buy a club membership and be over 21 years of age. You can get a day pass or opt for an annual membership.

    Camp Mars

    • Camp Mars is a private gay men only campground that requires a modest membership. In 2009, the annual rate was $10. The campground offers free wireless Internet and is located on 40 acres of land in southern Florida. The facility has nature trails, ponds, a heated swimming pool and a natural setting.

      Camp Mars offers approximately 50 tent-camping sites, 30- and 50-amp full hook-up RV sites and rental cabins. RVs over 35 feet long pay a surcharge. You can also bring your boat and store it at the campground. Additionally, the campground organizes themed parties and events, such as outdoor movies and potlucks.

    Camp David

    • Camp David is a private membership RV and tent campground. You must buy an annual or a day pass to use its facilities. The campground is clothing-optional and set on 16 acres of land. It is wooded with a secure entrance gate and three small lakes for fishing and recreation. The campground operates as a community, with planned activities and space to relax.

      Amenities at Camp David include a hot tub, store, wireless Internet and club house. You can play horseshoes, shuffleboard or pool. The RV spaces have 30- or 50-amp service and there's a shower block and nature trails.
