Education is as we know is a fact of life, and it's something that we all have in common, because no matter what, we continue learning through-out our entire lives and never stop.
The real benefit to education is how we use that knowledge in life, and ultimately how we will succeed in all our endeavors.
One thing's for sure, I know we need to start the basic education process early in life to gain the experience for when we are forced to go out into the work place to earn a living, and of course, that's where I believe the real education of life begins.
Now that we have gained some of the basic Education skills we learned in school, we now have to get educated in a Skill or a Trade, and that's usually when we move on to College, further education programs, or a Technical trade School.
Most young people have an idea what they want to be or do when they are going through the basic school process, and some make they're minds up what to do after they leave high school.
I also know that life changing events can happen, we change direction, and we get distracted and end up not pursuing our dreams of doing what we wanted to pursue when we were in school.
I knew exactly what I wanted to do when I was around 14-15 years of age.
Once I had left high school, I worked on various construction sites to get a feel for what was ahead of me.
I then applied to go to, what was probably one of London's best Technical Schools for Construction Engineering in the country, and got accepted.
That was the start of how I was going to make my living in my life, and believe me, I am so grateful to the expert instruction at that time who guided and nurtured me to achieve the highest standard in Construction Engineering I could have imagined.
I believe if not for them, and joining a top school, I would have had a life of drifting from one job to another, maybe never reaching my full potential in what I was capable of achieving had I been distracted and decided not to go to Technical School.
Best decision I ever made.
Once I had earned my degree though, and went into the work place, I had all the knowledge, but realized I lacked the on-site experience, and as I eluded too in the beginning, that's where the real learning experience starts.
Because your now spending more time on-site, your confidence builds around the more experienced people you are working with.
You learn new techniques from people out in the field that can actually propel your career forward to the next level because there are always new and better ways of achieving the same results to the end product.
Once on-site you will learn many other new experiences, whether your inside working on Motor cars, Motorcycles, or Computers to working on Construction sites as a Bricklayer(Stone Mason), carpenter, Plastering, Plumber, or Electrical Engineer etc.
I actually learned over the years above and beyond what I went to the Best Technical School for, to become a master Stone Mason and learned how to drive heavy-duty machinery in which I got my operator's license.
I wanted to take full advantage of many experiences while it was available to me.
One thing I can assure you, it will be the best decision you will ever make if you don't get to college too go to the Best Technical School and get the skills you need to get the best out of what life has to offer.
Remember, life is all about the choices we make and then pursuing them to the end that will determine how successful you will become.
One last comment, Success in any endeavor is experiencing the journey and not the final destination.
