Social advertising was a revolutionary idea that made many people a lot of money on the internet.
For years the main place for to advertise your company was on Television. A lot of people watch television, so you could place your ad in front of a lot of people.
The best time to place an ad on tv was during the Superbowl. A 30 second ad during the Superbowl would normally run around 3 million dollars. The prices are slowly dropping to only 2.8 million dollars. These prices are dropping because of the massive shift onto social networks.
The recent loss of jobs in the economy has opened our eyes to what a secure financial future really looks like. We found out that it doesn't look like anything we had.
This "slap in the face" forced other people to look for new ways of making money. Not all of us can make money selling things on e-bay.
However there are plenty of other options of making money on the internet.
Through Social networking.
These networking sites allow a perfect way to target your consumer, and sell a product to them. Once this process has been mastered, people started to make boat loads of money.
From then on more and more people kept making money, and slowly enough businesses started catching on.
Shortly after wards business really learned how to advertise their business on the internet and countless social sites. Look at these Facebook pages. Pepsi on Facebook, and 7-eleven on Facebook.
I don't see any reason why these companies need a Facebook page, but it's there. But there they are on Facebook, making money, while we are all here just reading an article.
85% of businesses are advertising on the internet, or are about to in the next 12 months. The other 15% doesn't think its worth any time, or thinks it won't help business.
94% of those companies are satisfied with the results of advertising on the internet.
However this game has changed. There are literally millions of people on the internet trying to sell you something. You used to be able to put your "stuff" in front of people, and make some money.
But not you have to get your customers to trust you in order to make anything. This new rule has places 95% of internet businesses in the Red. Not making any money at all.
Lucky for us there is an answer to all these problems. People will forever find solutions to problems. And then they will sell their answers for profit gain!
