Talbots Scholarship Foundation

Women returning to college after 10 years or longer can apply to receive the Talbots Women's Scholarship. The scholarship is granted to women with a commitment to enriching their lives through education. To qualify, you must be no closer than two semesters from graduation at the time of your application. As of 2011, ten awards in the amount of $15,000 are granted. One grand prize scholarship is given in the amount of $30,000. Scholarship awards are one-time only.

Zonta International administers the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship. To qualify, you must have a declared major in business or a business-related field. Scholarship awards can be applied toward the pursuit of a master's or undergraduate degree. Preference is given to applicants with demonstrated excellence in the field of business. Applications are processed through local Zonta Clubs. As of 2011, scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,000 at the district level and $5,000 at the international level. Twelve international scholarships are given annually.

If you are the primary provider for your household, you can apply to receive the Soroptimist Women's Opportunity Award. The award exists to help women increase their career opportunities through a post-secondary education. Whether returning as a full or part-time student, you can apply if you live in a country where a Soroptimist Club is located. Scholarships are given at the local and international level. Award amounts vary at the local level. As of 2011, scholarships of $10,000 are given to three international finalists.

Women over the age of 25 can apply to receive the Emerge Scholarship. The scholarship program exists to give women a second chance at pursuing their passions. The number of awards given each year varies. As of 2011, scholarship award amounts range between $2,000 and $5,000. Selections are based on your ability to communicate how you triumphed over past adversities and your current involvement in your community. Though women from around the country are eligible for this award, preference is given to women in the state of Georgia.
