    How to Find the Value of Currently Owned Savings Bond

    • 1). Access the Internet from a computer. Visit the U.S. Treasury Direct website at http://www.treasurydirect.gov/tdhome.htm.

    • 2). Locate the Highlights Section in the lower right hand side of the Treasury Direct homepage. Locate the Savings Bond Calculator icon in the Highlights Section. Single left-click on the Savings Bond Calculator icon.

    • 3). Single left-click the arrow in the Series box. Move the cursor to highlight the Type of U.S. Savings Bond you wish to calculate. Single left-click on the highlighted type.

    • 4). Single left-click the arrow in the Denomination box. Move the cursor to highlight the Face Value of the U.S. Savings Bond you wish to calculate. Single left-click on the highlighted Amount.

    • 5). Enter in the Issue Date box the 2-digit month and 4-digit year the bond was issued. This information can be found in the upper right hand corner of the U.S. Savings Bond immediately beneath the Series Type.

    • 6). Single left-click the Calculate button. The Calculator will provide you with the Issue Date, Next Accrual Date, Final Maturity Date, Issue Price, Interest Earned, Interest Rate, and Current Value.
