- 1). Wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo and rinse well. Sluice as much water out of your hair as possible, and apply conditioner, focusing on the tips of your hair. Let the conditioner sit for about two minutes, then rinse with cool water.
- 2). Squeeze your hair dry with a towel. Spray your hair from root to tip with heat protection spray. Comb through your hair with your fingers to spread the product through your hair.
- 3). Squeeze a dime- to quarter-sized dollop, depending on how thick your hair is, of curl cream into your palms. Rub your palms together and evenly distribute the cream to your hair, starting at the tips and working your way to the roots.
- 4). Comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb to remove any tangles. Flip your head upside-down, and blow-dry your hair completely for ultimate volume.
- 5). Separate a 1-inch-thick section of hair just above your ear and clip away the bulk of your hair. Let the straightener heat up to its maximum temperature.
- 6). Position the straightener about 1/2 inch from the root of a 1- to 2-inch section of hair. Clamp the irons together and quickly slide the straightener down the hair while twisting your wrist, and in turn, the irons. Do this until you reach the end of your hair to create a curl.
- 7). Repeat the process for your entire head, working your way from the bottom up. Squeeze a small amount of finishing cream into your palms, rub your hands together and evenly distribute the cream to the ends of your hair for frizz-free shine.
