The world of television and entertainment has all the best and worst elements of life wrapped up in a pretty package. It is hard to resist it and that is exactly why almost everyone in the world watches television. There are a few shows which you fall in love with almost instantly and you cannot help but tune in every time a new episode is aired.
Every show has a story line, which is crafted by a group of gifted writers. This story is sure to take you to a world like no other, where absolutely anything can happen at the drop of a hat. So it becomes important to stay up to date, so that you do not miss the events in the lives of all the characters.
The story weaves around the lives of different characters and every one of these people has a story of their own. They have a past which explains why they act a certain way and they have a number of secrets which are slowly revealed as the plot advances. It is the thrill of the unknown, which keeps us coming back for more.
It is also safe to assume that every show has a star and a villain. You tend to create an emotional connect with the hero as you understand his struggle, as he fights for the things he strives to achieve. On the other hand, you tend to hate the villain from the core of your being and hope that he would just go away.
However, this is not what you really want as the moment he disappears you tend to miss his onscreen presence. In this manner, TV allows us to understand and appreciate both sides of the story and leaves us completely entertained in the process.
One show which I recently came across and found extremely interesting is Best Friends Forever. The plot circles around the lives of four friends; Ela, Vinnie,Sanju and Varun. They are all in the same college and develop a close friendship. They label themselves €BFF's' and spend most of their days together.
Things get complicated when each of the girls develop romantic feelings for Varun. He takes advantage of this and explores all his options before asking Sanju out. She refuses considering that he was just dating one of her best friends. As a result of this rejection Varun jumps of a cliff and commits suicide.
The girls all decide to keep this incident hushed but a few months later the dark secret comes back to haunt them, in the form of a stalker who seems to know exactly what happened that night. Which brings us to the question, is Varun still alive?
