The Bottom Line
My dislike of Sealab 2021 aside, there's not much to sell on this DVD to even the most hardcore Sealab 2021 fan (a phylum as of yet uncatalogued by this biologist.) There are funny things on the show, but it's not a funny show.

Guide Review - 'Sealab 2021' Season One DVD
After watching this DVD, I can confirm I just don't like Sealab 2021. Sure, it's funny for fifteen minutes. But getting through this DVD just takes way too long.
The characters are all the same. There's almost no story (an Adult Swim regular trick, I know) just cheap joke to cheap joke.
Admittedly, I like cheap jokes. Buckethead Sally, the Captain's mop-with-a-bucket-on-it girlfriend, is funny. So, there's funny stuff. It's just the same type of funny stuff over and over.
Even if you're a fan of Sealab 2021, the DVD has next to no extras to make it worth buying, only a few deleted scenes and the original pilot, which gives some insight into the creators' vision for the cartoon.

Pros

- They take it as far as they can.
Cons
- Few DVD extras.
- A sameness to the ridiculousness.
- Just not that good.
Description
- 13 episodes.
- 2 discs.
- Original pitch pilot episode.
- Deleted scenes.
