Dork by Sidin Vaduku

Let McKinsey Wait The protagonist of Dork written by Sidin Vaduku believes McKinsey or other big names are waiting for him on the day of placement gets to work at a mediocre consulting firm where the superiors soon begin to rue the day when they hired him.
The MBA jokes are contextual and the consulting satire is also sector specific so those who are outsiders may find the book as an eye opener.
Cruel World The world is cruel and that's why the job with 12+ lakh salary goes to Robin 'Einstein' Varghese (Dork) who is nothing more than a deluded (from an institution big on hype) graduate.
It is an entertaining book which is complete with YouTube videos, drunken incidents and the romance angle too in which Robin tries to somehow make Gouri Kalbag aware that he exists.
Plodding has its Rewards Dork is a fast paced book with events creating their own momentum though at times you have to motivate yourself to plod through the text.
The effort is however quickly rewarded when the anticipation about what the protagonist will do next builds up.
This is not an out and out original plot and you will have a sense of déjà vu throughout the book.
The writing style of Sidin Vaduku keeps you engaged throughout.
An Easy Read At the same time, it is an easy read and doesn't cost the earth, and Sidin Vaduku is definitely full of potential.
The fact that his day job is at LiveMint.
com and he is short on time doesn't deter his fans from waiting eagerly for the next book.
All in all, Dork is definitely a great first effort from Sidin Vaduku and we definitely look forward to more fun from him.
