The Perfect Shower Enclosure For Your Bathroom

I am always striving to create a warm cosines inside of my house and the bathroom is not an exception.
I bet you know how it feels like when you come home after 9 hours of work, every inch of your lovely self demands that luxurious shower of the hot water and finally you are relaxed and ready to take the rest of the home work.
But have you ever asked yourself if you really like your bathroom? I did ask myself that question, and not only once, so I was prepared to bring the bathroom issue on someday.
2 months ago I started to think about making some updates.
My bathroom is small and I had a bath tub, sink and toilet in it.
And I always hated the fact that I could not have a washing machine in my bathroom because of the limited space.
So starting from that point I asked myself: why not change the bathtub for a shower cabin? That could save some space for a washing machine and completely change the look of my bathroom.
Traditionally, first step of making a good quality product purchase is to research its market.
In most cases you do not have to worry about buying all the things separately - shower cabin, shower panel and the pan, because you can find everything in one package and it will save you your time, your precious self and your money.
There is a huge choice of shower enclosures out there - different sizes and styles, materials they are made of, plus if you want some additional options like listening to your favorite music during the shower, hydro massage or aroma therapy - there is a price for that too as well.
But here are the main features you should look for in your perfect shower cabin:
  • Compactness.
Typically, a shower enclosure is acquired due to a lack of space therefore its compactness is one of the main features.
However, the lucky owners of apartments with large bathrooms can afford bigger shower cabins that allow to take a shower together with your partner or the ones that combine both the shower and the bathtub.
  • Capacity.
Keep this in mind when choosing a shower cabin - it must be compact, but not narrow.
Make sure there is some space for you to move freely while taking a shower.
  • Impermeability.
Keep your particular attention to the doors - they must be hermetically sealed to prevent water to get out.
Experts advise to look at the doors equipped with magnetic gaskets.
  • Multifunction - a distinguishing feature of all closed shower cabs.
Standard equipment, in addition to a well-known and beloved hand shower includes "tropical rain" and a hydro-massage.
Every year the number of options tends to grow.
Nowadays you can even talk on the phone during the shower.
  • Size and Depth.
The choice of shower enclosures is strictly individual.
There are different forms of shower enclosures and trays available in the market today - rectangular, triangular, round, square and pentagonal - the fantasy is yours.
You can even choose a deep shower tray if you more likely prefer a bath tub.
It all depends on your desire and expectations from the cabin.
  • Made Of.
What is best - cast iron, acrylic or steel shower trays? Cast iron shower trays are strong and durable and could serve you many many years to come but also they need some special care - enameling from time to time, which could be quite a problem if not done by a pro.
Another disadvantage of cast iron tray is it takes a long time to warm up the bottom of the tray - so if you decide to buy the iron pan, be prepared to feel cold on your feet.
Steel shower tray is a cheap analogue of cast iron tray.
Often used in hotels, steel shower trays are easy to care but still they have one disadvantage - they are too noisy because of the shallow bottom.
Appears to be that acrylic shower trays are out of competition.
They are warm and have more interesting variations of size and shape.
To be honest, I love my acrylic shower base.
  • Made In.
Of course, we all love when on the product we are buying it is written "Made in USA" or "Made in Japan" or Germany, UK, Italy and etc.
And of course, it is a good thing to buy a product from a well-known brand.
Commonly, people think that product bought from the original brand is of better quality but it is not always true.
Sure thing that the shower enclosure that is made in Germany will cost you much more expensive than the one made in China - quality might be the same but difference in price is enormous.
So we should not be scared of product with label "Made in China" because now it is a common thing and it is cheap and the quality might be as good.
  • Open Sesame.
Shower doors (or shower curtains) are divided into 2 main types: plastic shower doors and doors made of tempered glass.
Which one is better? The best choice, of course, is the glass - it is easy to take care of.
Plastic doors are exposed to scratches and stains and they tend to fade with time.
And to mention that there are 2 methods of opening the doors: sliding and swinging.
Remember we mentioned compactness? Sliding doors is the best option for saving your bathroom space but the typical problem with sliding doors is the rolls.
    Either-or case - you decide.
  • Extra Options.
This feature is optional and depends on personal lifestyle and taste.
If you like aromatherapy, chromotherapy or any other kind of therapy - this option is for you.
So now you have some ideas on your type of shower enclosure and from my side I will add that I am happy with my purchase of space saving shower cabin.
Now I have everything I need in my bathroom and again, I wish you good luck with your searches!
