As I work with people and we focus on their dreams, goals and desires I am struck with what seems to a a collective unrest.
The quest is towards what seems to be an impossible dream and the journey is exhaustive.
Even when all seems to be in order on the outside there remains a longing, an unsatisfied yearning for an unidentified quality that will comfort, connect and center a person.
Perhaps this sounds familiar.
For example: You are working four hours a week.
You have virtual assistants, blackberries, and an iPhone.
You are pulling in "six to seven figures" of income, even now in this economy; you are platinum, joyful, conscious, fearless, middle-aged, happy, soulful, AND spirited.
You have thousands of "friends" on social networks and ideal clients galore.
You look younger than your real age.
You have a coach, personal trainer, and a mentor.
You eat organically, and have been to Italy.
You know your blood type, your personality type, your enneagram and your astrological signs, sun and moon.
You are sexy in a good way; you are fashionable, feel free, and laugh at political humor.
You know who Paul Simon is, how to say the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and have been through air raid drills.
You have been Googled, Twittered, tweeted, poked, and launched.
You've lost weight and gained insight.
You meditate, concentrate, and rarely hesitate.
You've been on retreat, and to a spa.
You have been vegetarian, vegan or macrobiotic.
Now you eat a little meat.
You know what I mean when I say "tap to free your emotions.
" You reduce, reuse, and recycle.
You re-create and recreate.
Yet, you tell me something is still missing.
My curiosity is ignited and I wonder if the missing piece could be love.
An old lady once told me that love is the only thing that matters.
I believe her and so I wonder if there is more love awaiting your discovery.
I mean deep abiding love that is unconditional, forgiving and compassionate.
Ask yourself the questions below and see what you discover for yourself.
This is what I know.
In order to be inwardly happy and in order to be successful as a solo-entrepreneur it is time engage the energy of love in all it's facets, to simplify our lives and develop self awareness.
We all, each one of us, get to show up on this playing field in a vibrant and powerful way.
In fact, it is imperative that we do so for the healing of the beauty between us; our relationships with ourselves and each other.
When we do, we create a truly compassionate space for creativity, love, and deep appreciation of what is possible personally, professionally and I dare say globally.
