- 1). Climb to the roof of the RV and locate the existing vent tube. Twist and pull the existing vent cover to remove it from the vent tube.
- 2). Cut around the base of the vent flange next to the roof using the razor knife exposing the vent tube coming through the roof of the RV.
- 3). Apply the sealant around the base of the vent line at the roof. Use the small putty knife to spread the sealant evenly around the exposed roof area as well as the vent tube itself.
- 4). Push the vortex vent into place on the vent tube where you removed the factory vent cover. Rotate the vent cover at this time to be sure nothing impedes the vent cover from spinning 360 degrees.
- 5). Drill the marked pilot holes around the vent cover with the drill and with the screwdriver install screws, from the kit, into pilot holes to secure the cover to the vent line.
