- 1). Place a mug on the back panel of a decorative box and trace around it. The box should be about the size of a shoebox or slightly larger.
- 2). Use a blade knife to cut out the circle you just drew.
- 3). Place a surge protector or a power bar in the box.
- 4). Run the cord for the surge protector or power bar through the hole in the back of the box and plug it into the closest wall outlet.
- 5). Run your television cables through the hole in the back of the box and plug them into the surge protector or power bar.
- 6). Bundle up any excess cords in the box and tie them with rubber bands. This helps keep all the cords in the box neat and untangled, and it will also prevent the excess cord from sliding out of the box and onto the floor.
- 7). Put the lid back on the box and place the box near your television.
