- 1). Play popular board games such as Scrabble and Wheel of Fortune in your classroom.
- 2). Play the popular "Hangman" game on the board by writing blanks that represent letters of a word and letting students guess the letters.
- 3). Write vocabulary words all over the board in random positions. Give two students fly swatters. Read the definition for one of the words and have the students race to the board to see who can swat the correct word first.
- 4). Play charades with vocabulary words that are verbs or nouns that can be pantomimed.
- 5). Make your own version of the game Pictionary by writing vocabulary words on index cards and having students draw them on the board. Whoever guesses the word gets to draw next.
