Unique Bird Houses - Let Your Imagination Fly

For many centuries, humans have been providing shelter for birds by making artificial bird houses.
The typical bird house design usually resembles the basic human dwelling, with sloping roofs, four walls and an entryway.
There have been numerous variations to this basic motif, but it's still generally the same.
A lot of people now are looking for unique bird houses, something that is not typical or boring.
Many are even attempting to create their own unique bird houses that have more personal significance than a standard avian domicile you can buy from any store.
If you want to create your own unique bird houses, there are two major things you can do: come up with your own design, and use different materials for building.
The first thing you should do when building unique bird houses is to forget what the traditional bird house looks like.
After all, birds are not humans, and they do not need to live in something that looks like a human house.
All that is important to the birds is that you provide them with shelter and food, and that is enough to make them happy.
When the time comes to implement the designs of your unique bird houses, the only restriction is that you must follow the basic requirements: it has to be an enclosed shelter with a hole where the birds can go in and out.
Other than that, you can go to wherever your imagination takes you.
When it is time to build your bird residence, try to avoid using conventional materials such as wood and metal.
There are many different materials you could use that are probably just lying around the house.
These do not cost a thing, and you can probably build more unique bird houses using these than typical materials.
To give you a few ideas, here are some examples: old tires can be turned into water-proofs roofs, cinder blocks can be used to strengthen the pole, thick cardboard may even be used for walls.
If you are creative, you can even turn old items such as old toy trucks or small luggage or practically anything, into unique bird houses.
The important thing is to keep your bird dwelling functional.
