- 1). Fold a 16-by-10-inch piece of paper in half. Cut two 3-inch slits on the fold about 3 inches apart. The length of the cut determines the height and length of the pop-up.
- 2). Fold the tab all the way over and make a crease at the bottom of the fold. Fold it all the way back and make a crease on the other side of the fold.
- 3). Open the entire piece of paper and push the tab portion forward. Fold the crease of the tab in the opposite direction of where the crease was facing.
- 4). Hold the tab and close the paper around it. Glue a paper cutout of a dog, for example, onto the tab. Draw some clouds and a sun above the dog, for example.
- 5). Repeat Steps 1 to 4 within the tab to create a box on top of your original tab. Continue to cut as many new tabs as you want for your pop-up book.
