- 1). Go to the official website of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Click on "Tools," and then scroll down the options and click on "Map." Type in your address to find a meeting house where the congregation, known as a ward, meets in your area. A text box will appear with meeting information, leader contacts and links for the website and directions. Write down the leader's phone number and directions to the ward building.
- 2). Click on the "Website" link in the text box and the ward's specific Web page will be displayed. Look at the section on the right side that shows ward news and information as well as ward, stake and church events. Take note of different events that interest you and contact the posted leader of that ward to verify that the activities are still scheduled and feel free to ask any questions.
- 3). Attend the activities to meet as many Mormons as possible. Talk about your life and desire to make friends. Practice good listening and conversation skills to establish common interests. Latter-Day Saints are more than willing to answers your questions, explain their culture and invite you over for dinner.
- 4). Ask around about other upcoming activities and feel free to attend the church meetings that are offered every Sunday. Maintain contact with people you have talked to and continue building friendly relationships.
