As I develop and grow on this journey of building my home business I am reminded just how important focus is.
I recently attended an Internet Marketing Bootcamp with my strategic business coach John Di Lemme, it was excellent.
However I received a big reminder about the importance of focus.
John kept telling me that I need to get back on track.
Pick the one business I want to be a success first and concentrate on that one alone.
Throughout the bootcamp they focused on the little things you need to do, the consistent daily action.
If you have been building your home business for any length of time you know just how much is out there on the internet.
You can so easily be taken off focus from your goal and dream.
You need to take the mindset that "I am going into combat for my business".
When you allow yourself to get off track you end up spending a whole lot of time on unproductive activities.
As you are building your home business do you Really need to check out the latest and greatest offering from the guru in your field? Or will your business be more profit producing when you concentrate on the small daily activities you have not quite mastered.
An example would be what my coach John Di Lemme had been giving me heck for.
I had been following all of the internet gurus and their new packages and offerings to the point where I was investing so much time that I was not spending the necessary time on building my own business.
Distractions are deadly, no matter what they are.
In some cases the distraction could be your friends or family.
There are times as you build your business you will have to say no to parties and games in order to concentrate on your business activities.
When you are driving down the freeway or interstate all it takes is 6 seconds of distraction and you could be dead.
The same concept applies to your business, distractions are deadly! Make the decision to take the specific action steps you know will move your business forward.
Will you make that decision to become the person who takes the strategic action steps? It really is just a decision and unfortunately 97% of people decide not to take those steps, will you be one of the 3%'ers? When you have a dream you are the only one who can make it happen.
It is your goal, your dream and you are the only one who knows exactly what it looks like.
In order to be successful you must know where you are going...
Without goals and plans to reach them, you are like a ship that has set sail with no destination.
