- All Out For Autism- a road race was started by Ron & Tine Rosenfeld who owned a shoe store New Balance New Canaan post they noticed that many parents came in to buy shoes for their autistic kids but felt reluctant in bringing their kids to the store. It is only then that they organized this road race and this year it is going to be their fifth year to have conducted this fund-raising show. The main purpose of this program is to spread the word of autism because almost 1 in every 88 kids suffer from it. The success of this event can be easily measured by people's involvement and the revenue they are generating. Last year saw a whopping 500 people participating that gathered a total of $10,000 and this amount catered to the needs of two people from different families suffering from this neurological imbalance. The phenomenal success promises a bigger exposure this year. If you still haven't given it your nod then this year is your chance.
- The Bermuda Autism Support and Education Foundation hosts - a fundraising show for the cause of autism. The twist in the tale is each year they host the show with different themes so this year their show will have a casino-styled theme. The openeing credits of the program will show us the title of the event as "Gaming for Change". This event will hit the floors on Septmeber 20 and will see several games casino-style will be hosted and the prize money is basically the money humbly donated by the entrepreneurs and the businessmen around. - Golden Hat Foundation - a fundraising awarenes program that does their bit in trying to spread as much awareness as possible about autism among children.
