How to Prevent Windows Registry Problems

When your registry goes haywire, it can cause your computer to crash.
The hardest part is, most of the time, it's hard to distinguish which registry files cause this scenario.
That's why there are registry cleaners.
Every time you install a new program in your hard drive, a new registry key is created.
When choosing a registry cleaner, you need to pick one that is specifically designed for your operating system.
This is because registry cleaners for different Windows franchises differ significantly.
Although there are registry cleaners out there that claim to fix and clean your registry and may function with different operating systems, you can never be too sure unless it's specifically made for the operating system that you have.
There are several reasons as to why your registry may go haywire and these are some of the ways to prevent this from happening: 1.
Always delete temporary files that you encounter on the Internet as these may cause a build up and may slow down your registry.
These files are likely to be fragmented so make it a habit to remove them using System Tools.
2.
Be careful about your downloads, especially if your anti-virus software is not that efficient.
You could actually get bugs with all sorts of malware that can come with these downloads.
Yes, they can damage your registry and can even cause your computer to freeze.
They will create or alter the registry files just to cause nuisance to your computer.
Get effective anti-malware and never forget to update it to prevent new viruses from getting into your system.
3.
If you want to delete certain programs, make sure the process is completed.
Otherwise, you could leave unnecessary files on your registry, causing it to become too heavy that your computer starts slowing down.
If you must install and uninstall programs, do it the proper way.
Go to your control panel and then remove the programs that you no longer need from there.
This way, you also delete items that are written on your registry.
Don't just remove a folder of a program as this will still leave a file created during the installation of that program on your registry.
If you are not aware if you have a registry problem, try getting a registry checker and then see if there are damages or unnecessary files in there.
You can also manually go through your registry.
However, this is not advisable if you are not adequately skilled with registry keys.
Touching the wrong entries could make your system unstable, thus, adding to your problems.
