How to Brighten Faded Rugs and Carpets

As time goes by, rugs and carpets start to look shabby.
This is because carpets face dirt, dust, hot and cool weather, high traffic, spills, and stains, just to name a few.
All of these factors reduce the lifespan of carpets.
Before you choose to discard old carpets, it is better if you have them cleaned first to find out if they can be used again.
After all, buying carpets is not something you can do every few months since it costs a considerable amount of bucks.
Cleaning should be done in dry weather, as it will allow the carpets to dry out faster.
Cleaning can brighten your faded rugs or carpets again.
But you need to know the right way to brighten your carpets again.
Read this article to know how.
You know that no carpet is totally safe from dirt and dust.
Every carpet is prone to dust whether it is placed in a home or office.
So, you have to have the dust particles removed from your carpets first.
For this purpose, vacuuming is the easiest method.
All you have to do is buy a vacuum or rent one from a nearby store.
After you have got the carpet vacuumed, your next move should be to create a mixture by mixing 3 parts of boiling water with 1 part of vinegar.
Shake the container to make the mixture ready.
Now, use the mixture you prepared for wiping the rug or carpet.
You should not pour the mixture over the carpet.
Instead, you should get a soft rag and dampen it with the solution.
This way you will not make the carpet wet.
Wipe across your rug or carpet with even strokes.
Make sure you do not leave any area and stroke all over the carpet evenly.
Now, your job is almost over.
You should not leave the rug or carpet to dry out.
Get bread crumbs and warm them up.
Now, rub the bread crumbs on the carpet surface.
This will brighten the carpet once again.
Now, turn your vacuum cleaner on and vacuum the bread crumbs.
Your job is done.
Alternatively, you can choose to work with a professional carpet cleaner.
Being professionals, they can get your job done much more efficiently.
So, hiring them is a very good idea if you are short on time.
Hopefully, this article will help you brighten up your rugs or carpets again.
