Activella Side Effects

    Types

    • Activella's side effects range from mild to severe. Common and mild symptoms include breast tenderness, weakness, darkening of the skin and changes in the menstrual cycle. Severe side effects are rare and could include difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, breast lumps, abdominal pain and fainting.

    Significance

    • Appearance of severe side effects indicates that a serious complication, such as an overdose, may have occurred.

    Considerations

    • If taken in conjunction with Activella, blood thinners can cause increased side effects. Other medications, vitamins or herbal products can also interact with Activella.

    Solution

    • Side effects can often be relieved by adjusting the dosage of Activella. In the case of severe side effects or drug overdose, immediate medical attention is required.

    Warning

    • Activella should not be taken by people who suffer from liver disease, blood disorders, abnormal vaginal bleeding or cancer. A dosage adjustment may be needed for people who have high blood pressure, kidney disease, asthma, diabetes or gallbladder disease.
