Art portfolios are an essential part of the college admissions process for art majors. In addition to SAT scores and transcripts, art schools want to see portfolios of watercolors, drawings or paintings that represent a student's work. Different universities have different requirements about what a portfolio includes, so it's important that students review the requirements for each school.
